Circle June 13 on your calendar and get your buns onto hottest seats in town, as So Unusual: Confessions of a Lauper Stalker hits Brisbane’s Powerhouse for one night only.

Direct from Alcatraz, a ‘caring’ fan tells her story through a Cyndi Lauper catalogue of hit songs,
about her rise to infamy and her colorist brush with fame, fortune and the law.

In this hair-raising cellblock buster of a show, musical theatre starlet, Rebecca Grennan, is Sindi Lauper Gibson,
the daughter of a Kingston hairdresser and a musical theatre ‘wiggy’.

‘Sindi’ is a renowned colourist in a Darlinghurst salon, who perfects her craft and develops an obsession for an 80’s music goddess. Her talent, persuasion and persistence lead her all the way to an apprenticeship with stylist to the stars, Justin Ware and the opportunity to actually meet and colour the locks of her idol.

Co-written by Troy Armstrong and musical directions by Peta Leigh Wilson, hits include Time After Time, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, She Bop, I Drove all Night, Who let in the Rain, and Money Changes Everything.
