Timothy Conigrave’s best-selling memoir is about to hit theatres (27th August 2015 to be precise) as a beautiful movie starring Ryan Corr (as seen in ‘Packed to the Rafters’) and Craig Stott (as seen in ‘East of Everything’) are playing the gay lovers Timothy and John. If you haven’t read the memoir, or seen the award winning play, the film is about Timothy and John’s 15 year relationship spanning High School in the 1970’s to the peak of the AIDS crisis in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s.

This is one of those movies you have to see – the memoir is known for the way it deftly handles homophobia, the conservative Australian society (that is still preventing gay marriage from being legalised to this day), HIV & AIDS and a gay romantic relationship. Watch the trailer below:
