Celebrate Pride Facebook Equal

Surprised

Not everyone in my family and friends are 100% open to the idea of marriage equality and many times I’ve had to bite my tongue when a discussion would edge on the side of a heated debate. To my surprise, it was these same people who opposed marriage equality that changed their Facebook profile photo! I was a little in disbelief but soon a smile grew over my face because they have changed their own minds and they’re willing to publicly show their support which makes me feel like the luckiest guy. I really love my family! (Amo a mi familia y mis amigos)

Was there anyone who surprised you?

I wonder who in your family and friends changed their Facebook profile photo to celebrate pride? Was there anyone who surprised you? Have you reached out to tell them what it means to you? I encourage you to let them know how much it means to have their support.
